Blockfall
Privacy Policy
Who we are
Blockfall is made by PostPop LLC. This policy explains what information the game handles, why, and the choices you have. Questions go to privacy@postpopgames.com.
What the game keeps on your device
Your progress, scores, settings, and purchases are stored on your device. They stay there unless you turn on Cloud Save. Deleting the app deletes them.
What is not collected
Blockfall has no account system and asks for no name, email address, contacts, photos, or precise location. It does not read anything on your device beyond its own data.
Firebase Analytics (Google)
Blockfall uses Firebase Analytics to understand how the game is played: which screens are opened, how far players get, which offers are taken, and whether a purchase or an ad completed. This is sent as events with a random app-instance identifier, the device model, operating system version, app version, and an approximate country. No name, email address, or contact list is ever sent.
Collection follows your consent choice. Where consent is required it is off until you give it, and you can change it at any time from Privacy choices in the settings screen. Google's own policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
Firebase Crashlytics (Google)
If Blockfall crashes, a report describing the crash — the code that was running, the device model and operating system version, and how long the app had been open — is sent to Firebase Crashlytics so the fault can be fixed. Reports contain no personal information.
Google AdMob and the consent form
Blockfall shows advertising through Google AdMob. Before any ad is shown in a region that requires it, Google's User Messaging Platform presents a consent form; on iOS the App Tracking Transparency prompt is shown as well. If you decline, ads are still shown but are not personalised, and no advertising identifier is used.
Ads may use the advertising identifier of your device, its model and operating system, an approximate location derived from your network, and which ads you have seen. You can withdraw or change your choice from Privacy choices in the settings screen, and reset the advertising identifier in your device settings. Google's advertising policy is at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
GameAnalytics
Blockfall also sends gameplay events to GameAnalytics, a service that builds dashboards of how levels, offers, and in-game currency behave across all players. The events carry a random install identifier, device model and operating system version, app version, approximate country, and coarse bands such as how many days you have played. Nothing that names you is sent, and sending follows the same consent choice as Firebase Analytics. GameAnalytics' policy is at gameanalytics.com/privacy.
Game Center and Google Play Games
If you turn on Cloud Save, Blockfall stores your progress in your own Game Center (Apple) or Google Play Games (Google) account, and reads it back on another device signed into the same account. The save holds game progress only. It is off until you turn it on, and the copy on your device is always the one the game trusts.
Purchases through the App Store and Google Play
Purchases in Blockfall are made through Apple's App Store or Google Play, which handle payment and hold your payment details. Blockfall receives only the product identifier, the outcome of the purchase, and a receipt used to restore it on reinstall. Refunds are handled by the store you bought from.
Notifications
Blockfall can send notifications, such as a reminder that a new daily game is ready. They are off until you give permission when the game asks, and you can turn them off at any time in your device settings.
To deliver them, your device is given a push token by Apple Push Notification service or Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google). The token identifies this install of the game, not you, and is used only to deliver notifications.
Your choices
Privacy choices in the settings screen reopens the consent form, where you can give or withdraw consent for personalised advertising and analytics at any time. On iOS, tracking permission can also be changed in Settings › Privacy › Tracking. Cloud Save is a switch in the same settings screen.
Children
Blockfall is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has used the game in a way that concerns you, contact privacy@postpopgames.com and the data will be removed.
Retention and your rights
Analytics and crash data are kept by the services named above for the periods in their own policies, and are aggregated; they cannot be tied back to you by us. If you want to know what has been held or want it deleted, write to privacy@postpopgames.com and it will be handled within thirty days.
Changes
When this policy changes in a way that matters, the game shows the new version before play and asks you to acknowledge it. The version and date at the top say which one you are reading.
